What is Website Design?

Website design follows a process of creating visually appealing and user friendly websites.

High impact website design has become increasingly popular over the past few years and will only continue to grow. Having an awesome website is a great start to creating the foundation of a successful business – one that offers around-the-clock accessibility, convenience, credibility and professionalism.

At Pinckney Marketing, we consider all pieces of the website design puzzle, including user experience and responsiveness; and you can’t forget a really cool design. All of those pieces working together equal a great product that will take your business to the next level.

The Importance of User Experience

Every part in the website design process is crucial, but user experience is the piece that could determine whether you have three leads or 30 leads. You want the user to be able to get where they’re wanting to go within a few clicks of being on the site. This is achieved by strategically placing call-to-actions (CTA’s, or as some may call, buttons) and having an easy to navigate menu. The less confusion possible, the less likely it will be that someone will leave your site. Between all of our designers and the rest of our marketing team, we have plenty of experience in the UX department to prevent that confusion.

Creating Responsive Designs.

With mobile devices being the most used to view websites, it is important that your website is responsive and looks just as nice on a mobile screen as it does on a desktop. If a website isn’t responsive, there are a couple things that could happen:

The user will be viewing a desktop site on a mobile phone, and there’s nothing more frustrating than that.

The site appears to be responding, but has formatting issues causing parts of the website to behave oddly.

Both of these issues tie back into user experience and could cause the user to leave the website. We’ll use platforms, such as WordPress, to ensure that your site is responsive and user friendly. Having a responsive website is important to us, so let us take your responding to the next level!

First Impressions Matter.

The design of the website most likely creates the first impression someone has of your brand, so you want it to be memorable and stand out from the competition. When a user comes to your site, the design should be interesting enough to make them want to continue looking, but shouldn’t take away from the content of the site. The user should be able to understand what your business is within the first five seconds of being on it. Our designers are always learning new ways to make web design interesting while functional to keep your visitors coming back.
